Who this covers
This policy explains what DealerCast collects and why. It covers dealers and their staff who use DealerCast, and shoppers who use a dealer's showroom kiosk.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, dealership name and the people you invite.
- Your content: the photos, videos, logos, slide text and kiosk settings you add.
- Screens and kiosks: a device name, when it last checked in, and the network address it connects from, so we can keep it playing and spot problems.
- Kiosk leads: what a shopper types into a dealer's kiosk, such as name, email, phone, the machine they looked at and whether they agreed to texts, plus a scrambled form of the network it came from, used only to stop spam.
- Billing: handled by our payment provider. We see your plan and payment status, not your full card number.
- Basic logs: pages visited and errors, to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
- To run DealerCast: sign you in, store your content, play it on your screens and show leads to your dealership.
- To bill you and send account emails, such as invitations and password resets.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
Kiosk leads
A shopper's details go to the dealership whose kiosk they used. That dealership decides how to follow up and is responsible for its own marketing choices. DealerCast stores the lead for the dealer and does not contact shoppers itself. A shopper who wants their details removed can ask the dealership or contact us.
Who helps us run DealerCast
We use trusted providers to host and run the service. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Supabase: database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting the website and app.
- Cloudflare: storing photos and videos.
- Our payment provider: subscriptions and invoices.
- Our email provider: account emails.
- Anthropic: when you use the Ideas helper, the text you type is sent to generate slide suggestions.
- Open-Meteo: weather for the ZIP code you set.
How long we keep it
We keep account information and content while your account is open, and delete it within 30 days after you close it. Dealers can delete kiosk leads at any time. Logs are kept for a short period for security.
Your choices
You can see and change your account details in the app, and delete your account in its settings. To ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, contact us. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
Each dealership's information is kept separate from every other dealership's, connections are encrypted, and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Children
DealerCast is for businesses and is not meant for children under 13.
